I did it! I managed to finish the three exercises for the week, and they made me realize how much I have learned in this course. It was a real boost to the ego to see a matching color emerging as I swirled the paints together. I also began to see relationships among the colors. In the first exercise I realized that two of the colors were complements as were another set later on. I was a little frustrated that a few of the colors looked like a good match when wet but were not so good when dry. And as I look over them again I can see a few things I would definitely change. I can also see that I would benefit from a lot more of this kind of practice--there is so much to learn. I did a lot of guessing about the opposite intensities and I did finish with one question: Is there a complement for gray--or an opposite intensity?
