Lesson Six - Betsy Brandt-Kreutz

Set One: The background fabric is orange-red. On 1a, I printed variances of the orange-red and added some yellow for the accent. For 1b, I used black added to the red-orange as well as whites for the values.

Set Two: For fabric 2am and 2b, the background had different colors of dots so I picked the pink dot as the background color. Since the hue family is red, for fabric one, I printed colors of reds and pink.  I painted the complimentary color for the dots in opaque green. For fabric 2, I used three different colors of green with that being the compliment to red from which the pink dot is derived.

Set Two:

For fabric 2am and 2b, the background had different colors of dots so I picked the pink dot as the background color. Since the hue family is red, for fabric one, I printed colors of reds and pink.  I painted the complimentary color for the dots in opaque green.

Set Three: For fabric 3a, I used the yellow part of the background as the background color.  I added the complimentary color of purple opaque paint for the accents. For fabric 3b, I used the analogous colors of red, red-orange, and orange in transparent colors and used yellow green as the accent using the yellow green part of the fabric as the background color.

Set Four: For 4a, I added the blue-green compliment to the background color of orange-red to create the low intensity colors.  The bright element was printed in opaque red-orange. For 4b, The low intensity colors used were blue-green with red-orange added. The accents were printed I blue-green although they do not look very blue-green.
