I finally kicked in!  I had the hardest time sitting down to the task of writing my history until I was reminded of Mind Mapping.  I took a look at my life in 7 year increments (isn't there something significant or sacred about the 7 year interval?).   I jotted down events, important transitions, random thoughts, and images associated with each period.  It was fun and it was revealing.  I discovered that color and crafts have been part of my life forever, that my mother was an inspiration (!), and that at 70 years old my bad memories have given way to good ones.  I'll spend more time with this Map and then put it in a form that can eventually be edited, but I just had to share the technique that helped me break through.
