What do I care about

I love that I have a skill set that allows to make what I want to make. As one of the other ladies said we are privileged to be makers. My favourite part is I think I have discovered my own voice. I appreciate when others admire my work, but am only satisfied when I have achieved perfection in a particular piece. I have a friend who says “this is just a hobby”, but for me it is more than that. It is my passion.

The hardest part for me is not to go to the studio first but to write down what it is I want to do. I have a tendency to jump in with both feet without thinking the idea through and making a plan. I have started to work out a plan for a series which still needs more thought put into it. This whole series of lessons for me has been

thinking about what it is I do and then writing it down. When it is in print it is more concrete not just an idea floating around in your head.
