Lesson Three - Jeannette L.

Dismantling the Committee of My Mom

It's always there.  Every time I stitch or felt or sew or do anything remotely creative.  My mother's presence or voice or face.  It's the judgement that what I'm doing isn't work or being productive.  The guilt I feel is so strong and it's always there in the mind - there's always work to be done and what I'm doing isn't work.  It's absolutely crazy & I want to be FREE from it!!!

Mom, I let you go from being in my head so that I can be myself and do what I want to do, when and how I want to do it.  My priorities are not yours and my life isn't yours.  I love you Mom but I also want to develop and strengthen my creativity.
