Lesson One - Ann-Marie L.

I had an interesting experience with the room drawing.  My first tiny sketch brought me back to being alone, content, drawing and listening to music.  I found a “vinyl rip” of Joni Mitchell’s Blue (one of my all time favorite albums) on U-Tube and it was very cool to draw my room and feel  that memory of place.  I decided to draw more, using the Van Gogh room as inspiration and then I realized how much fear I carried around as a child-some I still have but in a different way.  I was afraid of the dark, monsters, people fighting, my closet and my nightmares.  I always found scary faces in the wall paper.  So, I started so happy and refreshed by the memory and ended up thinking about all that fear…it didn’t diminish the happiness, but got me thinking.
